Cia Voël is the meeting of two seemingly very different people, who come to complement each other and unite in the search for creative and acrobatic paths, with the Russian quadrant as the protagonist.
Over the years they have developed a very personal style characterized by a strong visual poetics, creating dreamlike images full of symbolism. Cia Voël has specialized in the creation of stage shows, where the following stand out: Ex-libris, Boira and Nanuq, recently premiered at the Grec Festival.
They are also actively developing their project “Reditus”, a site specific large format circus that reinterprets and gives new life to various legends of the territory, and with which they have already premiered “Dones de Aigua” in Sant Joan les Fonts, “El pou de la gallina” in Manresa and Immaterial in the Parc Güell in Barcelona.
As a young woman, he left his hometown to discover the world, and in these comings and goings he landed in Mallorca where he discovered the world of the circus. Since then he has trained with various teachers specializing in aerial techniques (fixed trapeze, mini trapeze and large flying trapeze, aerial square and Russian), highlighting trainers such as Boris Ribas, Yuri Sakalov and Joan Ramón Graell.
He has participated in different productions such as Grinyols of Circ Cric, Violeta of La Persiana collective, Invisibles (21 winter circus of Ateneu 9 Barris), Póesia of OnCore company, Shake Shake Shake Shake of Pakipaya.
At a very young age he felt the call of the circus and decided to make this art his profession. He trained at the Rogelio Rivel circus school in Barcelona and has a diploma from ESAC (Superior School of Circus Arts) in Belgium, where he specializes in hand-to-hand combat. Later he trained in the Russian quadrant with Yuri Sakalov and Joan Ramon Graell.
He has participated in projects such as: Circ Cric, Invisibles (21 winter circus of the Ateneu 9 Barris), Cubitus du Manchot (Le ballet Manchot), cia Ytuquepintas (Per un desitg), Colectivo 9.8 (Split and Petita Mort), No feu jokes amb el amor (TNC), La Scabreuse (Taiteul reprise), Sacude (Swimming World Cup 2013- Basketball World Cup 2014), Violeta from the La Persiana collective.
